Greece launches Eurovision journey with glittering semi-final

Seven artists advanced from the first semi-final as Greece moves closer to choosing its Eurovision 2026 representative in Vienna

Greece is on course to name its Eurovision 2026 representative through the national selection "Sing for Greece 2026", organised by public broadcaster ERT.

The multi-stage competition comprises two semi-finals and a grand final, all staged at the Peiraios 260 venue in Athens and broadcast live on ERT1, ERT World and online platforms. The winner will be announced on Sunday, 15 February 2026 and will go on to represent the country in Vienna later this year.

The selection kicked off with Semi-Final One on 11 February 2026, when 14 acts performed live, competing for a place in the grand final. They delivered a diverse mix of pop, contemporary Greek sounds and internationally oriented tracks, with the public deciding the qualifiers exclusively by televote.

The show opened on an emotional note with the return of Klavdia, who represented Greece in 2025 with the song Asteromata. At the same time, presentation duties were shared among Betty Maggira, Giorgos Kapoutzidis, and Katerina Vrana.

From that first show, seven artists secured their places in the final:

  • Alexandra Sieti - "The Other Side"
  • Akylas - "Ferto"
  • Evangelia - "Parea"
  • Rosanna Mailan - "Leap"
  • Stefi - "Europa"
  • Marseaux - "I'm Lost"
  • Stylianos - "You & I"

Attention now turns to the second semi-final, scheduled for Friday 13 February, when 14 more contenders will compete for the remaining spots in Sunday's grand final.
