Thessaloniki startup LoopCV breaks into US hiring market

LoopCV, a Thessaloniki-developed platform automating job applications, gains access to a vast network of openings in the US

A Thessaloniki-based startup has secured a partnership with one of the largest recruitment platforms in the United States, signalling international confidence in Greece's tech ecosystem.

LoopCV, a job search automation platform founded in 2020, has partnered with US-based WizeHire, a Houston-headquartered recruitment company serving thousands of small and medium-sized businesses. Through the integration of the two platforms, LoopCV users can now access hundreds of job openings from companies across the US and apply automatically, while WizeHire employers gain exposure to a wider, highly active talent pool.

WizeHire's scale offers LoopCV immediate access to a substantial hiring network. The platform has supported more than 18,000 businesses, facilitated 5.3 million applications, and scheduled 330,000 interviews.

LoopCV was founded by three IT professionals who sought to address their own frustrations with job searching. The founders told Voria.gr that the deal marks a milestone. "This partnership is the result of five years of continuous effort. The fact that a large American company trusts a Greek startup proves that we can play in the big leagues," said co-founder Loukas Simopoulos. The company frames the agreement as a broader statement about Greece's capabilities: "This collaboration is a message that Greece can export technology rather than just human capital."

The platform aims to streamline one of the most time-consuming aspects of job hunting by automating nearly 90% of the application process, enabling users to apply to dozens of roles simultaneously. Over the past three years, LoopCV has attracted 1.6 million registrations globally, with around 10,000 active monthly users.
